Innovation Award 2021 of the BioRegions in Germany

Does your invention have innovative strength and market potential? Then apply by June 27, 2021 for the BioRegions Germany Innovation Award 2021 and get the chance to win one of three prizes of €2.000 each and an audience award of €2.000.

As one of the six best submissions, present your trend-setting invention at the German Biotechnology Days in September 2021 in Stuttgart.

For the 14th time, the Working Group of BioRegions Germany is awarding the Innovation Prize of the BioRegions to outstanding ideas from the life sciences.

Prize-worthy patents wanted

In 2021, the working group of the BioRegions in Germany will award the successful "Innovation Prize of the BioRegions in Germany" for the fourteenth time. Application-oriented patents from LifeScience research are awarded. The 2021 competition will be jointly organized by BioRegioN – Technology cluster Life Sciences Lower Saxony and biosaxony e. V organized.

The three prizes, each worth €2.000, are intended to promote the transfer of knowledge, new technologies and inventions from research to commercial exploitation. The task of the competition is also to bring the results of excellent research in Germany and the practical use of biotechnology closer to the public.

Final in Stuttgart

This year, the election of the winners themselves will be part of the German Biotechnology Days from 20 to 21 September 2021 in Stuttgart. In an interactive format, the six best project teams present their inventions to the jury and the audience as finalists. This is followed by the presentation of the three innovation prizes and one audience prize.

The Innovation Prize is awarded to inventors with outstanding, innovative ideas in the field of modern biotechnology. He would like to stimulate scientists to introduce their inventions into the economy as technologies or products, ie to turn the idea into an innovation. At the same time, the award recognizes the importance of interaction/cooperation between business and science. The competition is aimed at owners or applicants for patents from university and non-university research institutions.
