The Leipzig Immune ONcology (LION) Conference brings together clinicians, scientists and industry to discuss the latest developments and highlights on special issues of immune oncology.
This year's conference will focus on tumor microenvironment, cell-based therapy in hematology and oncology, immune checkpoint inhibitors, biomarkers, cell therapies and cancer vaccines.
The annual meeting is organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology and the University Cancer Center of the University Hospital Leipzig. The LION Conference will be held under the auspices of the German Society of Hematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO).

The Saxon AI Competence Center, which is currently being set up, is taking the next important step. At the Leipzig location, ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig inaugurated the new premises for the Living Lab.
The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is strengthening research into the long-term effects of Covid-19. Federal Research Minister Anja Karliczek presented ten research projects today, Thursday, for which the BMBF is providing a total of 6,5 million euros.
