Diverse support for Saxony's start-up scene, transfer actors and innovators

The deadline for submitting applications for the state prizes is March 7, 2021. The futureSAX start-up forums, the Saxon Transfer Roadshows and the futureSAX innovation forum will also take place to intensively promote exchange and networking in the Saxon innovation ecosystem and to make Saxony's innovative strength visible.

futureSAX, the innovation platform of the Free State of Saxony, is once again organizing three state awards in 2021 on behalf of the Saxon Ministry of Economic Affairs: the Saxon Founder Award, the Saxon Transfer Award and the Saxon Innovation Award. The prizes are endowed with a total of up to 110.000 euros. With their participation, the companies, founders and scientists not only gain recognition in the innovation landscape of Saxony, but also become part of the futureSAX network with over 8.500 actors from science and industry.

Marina Heimann, Managing Director of futureSAX: »Positive examples as a signal for innovative entrepreneurship and technological solutions as an answer to the challenges of the future - that is what lies behind the participants in the competitions and their ideas, projects and innovations. Especially in the current time of crisis, we want to give people and institutions a stage and encourage them to push their own ideas forward with courage and confidence.«

The state prizes for start-ups, transfer and innovation are presented

The Saxon Founder's Prize is being awarded for the 21st time and is endowed with a total of up to 30.000 euros. We are looking for innovative business ideas and start-up concepts.

The Saxon Transfer Prize, which the Free State is awarding for the third time, focuses on knowledge and technology transfer projects with a model character. It is endowed with up to 30.000 euros. In addition, a special prize »technology mediator« will be awarded.

Also for the 21st time, the Free State of Saxony is honoring innovative products and services, new processes and innovative business models with the Saxon Innovation Award. Prize money totaling up to 50.000 euros and the special prize of the Saxon Chambers of Crafts are attractive.
